SUMMER RIDING CAMP 2010
Thank you for your interest in the Music City Riding Academy Summer Day Camp. The Music City Riding Academy is a real working horse farm offering SUMMER DAY CAMP for children and teens and RIDING LESSONS for all ages.
Our program is designed for the beginner through the intermediate/advanced rider with an emphasis on safety and learning in a fun atmosphere. We offer quality riding instruction for children ages 4 and up and Summer Day Camp for riders 6 and up in a caring, supportive environment where safety, fun, learning, and sportsmanship go hand in hand. Students gain experience in grooming, care of the horse and equipment, and have daily lessons in the arena. We also cover medical issues of the horse as well as farrier and dental concerns and careers in the equine world and the horse in Art.
Students bring their own lunch Monday – Friday (cold storage available). We provide juice drinks and plenty of water.
Day campers enjoy the full riding program from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM Mon.-Fri. Supervised aftercare is provided from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM ($20.00 per day/per child). Students may arrive as early as 7:40 AM to allow parents to get to work. 10 students are accepted each week. This allows for close personalized attention and supervision.
Safety codes are strictly enforced. HELMETS MUST BE WORN WHEN MOUNTED ON A HORSE. We provide helmets or you may bring your own ASTM/SEI approved helmet. A low-heeled hard-soled riding boot must be worn and either riding pants/straight-legged jeans.
